Our Mission & Values

Creating Secure Connections for Change

Not Just One bridges the gap between victims of serious crimes and the qualified professionals who can help amplify their voices. Our secure platform enables purposeful sharing that can lead to justice, pattern identification, and systemic change.

Our Mission

Not Just One empowers crime survivors by giving them a platform to share their experiences with qualified professionals who can help amplify their voices, investigate their cases, and potentially bring about justice and positive change in the criminal justice system.

We envision a world where every crime survivor has the opportunity to be heard and where their stories contribute to improvements in the criminal justice system, public awareness, and policy development.

The Problem We Address

Too many victims of serious crimes never achieve justice. Their cases go cold, remain unreported, or fail to receive the attention they deserve. Behind each statistic is a person whose story matters—a story that could be the missing piece in a larger pattern, the key to solving other cases, or the catalyst for meaningful system reform.

The criminal justice system frequently fails victims of “special crimes” like sexual assault, attempted murder, and trafficking, with many of these cases remaining unresolved. Victims often feel silenced, their experiences isolated and disconnected from the broader patterns that could reveal systemic failures and serial offenders.

Origin Story

Not Just One was born from a recognition of the critical gap that exists between victims who want to share their stories and the professionals who need to hear them. When victims of serious crimes cannot safely share their experiences, perpetrators often remain free to harm others, systemic failures go unaddressed, and patterns across cases remain invisible.

Our founders identified this gap through personal and professional experiences with the justice system and victim advocacy. They envisioned a secure, trauma-informed platform that would provide victims with agency over their narratives while connecting them with qualified professionals who could help drive meaningful outcomes.

After extensive consultation with victim advocates, security experts, and potential professional users, Not Just One was developed as a solution that centers victim wellbeing while facilitating valuable connections that serve the greater good.

Our Approach

At Not Just One, we believe that:

  • Every victim deserves to be heard safely and on their own terms
  • Individual stories gain power when connected to reveal patterns
  • Technology should serve as a protective bridge, not an exploitative tool
  • Ethical practices must guide every aspect of platform development and operation

Victim agency and wellbeing must remain at the center of all decisions
